Sulphur Springs/RC games cancelled

All Tuesday softball and baseball games have been cancelled or postponed.

The Sulphur Springs softball game scheduled for today (Tuesday) has been postponed.

The game will tentatively be played at 5 p.m. Wednesday - Royse City at Sulphur Springs

varsity girls softball.

The Sulphur Springs baseball game at Royse City has been cancelled.

No make up time has been set.

 

SS teams face Royse City in district

Sulphur Springs teams don’t want to slip back in the District 13-4A race as they play key games today games against Royse City.
The Lady Cats, coming off a tough 6-4 road loss against Texas High, will be at home gunning for a win against Royse City. The JV starts play at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity at 6:30 p.m. at the Lady Cats diamond.

Bowling report for April 3

Basketball has its triple doubles, and Tarry Davison almost hit a bowling triple triple honor score at Classic Lanes during the week ending March 31.
Davison, one of the smoother bowlers at the local center, came within two sticky pins of firing back-to-back perfect games in the Sunday Night Mixed league on May 25 en route to an honor score 815 series.

UNION HILL — In the District 18-1A track meet Saltillo athletes took several places.
Cade Daniel was second in the long jump, third in the 100-meter dash and third in the 200-meter. Clayton Jones was third in the 3,200-meter run, fourth place in the 1,600-meter run; Edward Jaimie, sixth in the shot put; Tucker Johnson was eighth in the 800-meter run and competed in the 200-meter run and the long jump; Jaylon Garmon competed in the shot put.
“Clayton and Cade qualified for the area meet, April 11 at Wolfe City,” said Bill Giles, Saltillo boys track coach.

SSMS track girls compete well at home
