Between the swine flu ruling by UIL which cancelled all games and the recent wet weather, the Lady Cats are in a holding pattern.
COMO —The Como baseball fields in Como, Texas were nominated in the Plant-A-Seed program sponsored by Kellogg’s Cereal to be renovated. The baseball fields located in downtown Como have not been maintained for some time and would certainly bring life and community back to the area.
In the last several months more than 3,400 fields were nominated to make the semi-finals which includes 100 fields for final voting. The first round of voting ended, and the Como Fields officially made the semi-finals. Of these 100 fields, only 30 will be set to be rebuilt. In order to be selected as one of the 30 fields, votes are needed now through May 31.
