Wildcats win Lindale baseball tourney

After playing poorly Friday, the Wildcats snapped out of the slump and rolled to a 12-1 rout over Lindale in Saturday tournament action.
The win over the Eagles gave Sulphur Springs 3-1 record in the tournament and the title in the event.

Lady Cats win two games in bracket play

McKINNEY — The Sulphur Springs Lady Cat's may not have finished the McKinney Varsity Softball Tournament they way they wanted, but they got close.
After two big wins during Saturday bracket play, the Lady Cats met Haltom City in the championship round of the Bronze bracket. A 13-4 loss left the team down, but with some encouraging signs heading into the start of district play tonight.

SS boys win soccer shoout over Lions

After 80 minutes of play, the game was still tied.
So Sulphur Springs and Greenville had to go to a shootout Saturday in the  district soccer match.
