Sulphur Springs head coach Greg Owens confirmed reports that standout defensive end Dial has verbal committed to Texas Tech University.
Pop Warner football, cheer pre-registration set Saturday at SSHS
The Sulphur Springs Pop Warner football and cheer pre-registration is underway.
Registration for the Panthers will be held Saturday at the Damione Lewis Football Camp at Sulphur Springs High School from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
After participating at the district tournament held at The Links at Land's End, the Yantis boys golf team is competing at the regional tournament at the Piney Woods Golf Links in Nacogdoches today through Tuesday. The Sulphur Springs Wildcats and Lady Cats have key home games today as they play contests washed out Friday by rain.
The Wildcats will play at home against the Texas High Tigers at 4 p.m. at Eagle Stadium. The freshmen and JV play at Texas High.
COLLINSVILLE — The Cumby track teams posted wins at the District 17/18-1A Area track meet held at Collinsville Wednesday.
Progressing onto regionals will be Cumby Lady Trojans Savannah Neal, Laura Oviedo, Courtney Salinas, Ashley Anderson, Valerie Partridge. The Lady Trojan team placed fourth overall with 52 points just behind Muenster with 78 points, Era placed second with 112, and Lindsay won first with 166.
