COMO—The U10 Como-Pickton Eagles baseball team traveled to Omaha Saturday morning and won both games against the Texans.
In the first game, C-P jumped out to a six-run lead in the first inning then cruised to a 13 – 0 win.
The Sulphur Springs Lady Cats took second place in the consolation division of the recent Wills Points tournament. The Lady Cats beat Harmony 12-25, 25-12, 25-19; beat Mount Pleasant, 25-14, 25-20; lost to Terrell, 1-25, 25-22, 12-25. SULPHUR BLUFF — The Sulphur Bluff Lady Bears hosted North Hopkins Lady Panthers in volleyball action Friday.
North Hopkins won 25-23, 25-10, in game three Sulphur Bluff won 25-23, and in game four the Lady Panthers won 25-20.
Lady Bear attacks came by Ashley Bryant with 11, Kaitlyn Hancock with seven, and Karissa Wolf had six.
Angel Mercado was awarded the Outstanding Sprinter award, Hunter Cooksey received the Outstanding Field Event award, Hunter Cain won the Outstanding Distance Runner award, Dustin Flowers was the recipient of the Eagle award, and (not pictured) Deon Robinson was the JV MVP for the Como-Pickton Eagle track team. Eagle track coaches Greg Roller, Travis Woods, and Bo Yates presented the awards.
