Records set in win over Corsicana

    CORSICANA – The Sulphur Springs Wildcats’ marathon win over the Corsicana Tigers Friday night was not only the highest-scoring game in SSHS history, it may have also been the longest.
    The Wildcats eclipsed the old record for most points in a game in their 77-65 victory over Corsicana. The “old” record was set just last year in the Wildcats’ 71-65 thriller over Mount Pleasant.
    Friday night’s game was 3 hours, 35 minutes long. Though records like that aren’t kept, it’s the longest regulation game in memory.
