Sulphur Springs rallied for four runs late to take a 7-6 win Game 2 in eighth inning over Wylie East at home Saturday
Wildcats take 1-0 lead in playoff series
WYLIE — Sulphur Springs pushed across a run in the top of the seventh to break an 8-all tie and secure a 9-8 win over Wylie East.
The Friday night win in bi-district baseball action gives the Wildcats a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series.
Lady Cats win area softball title
LINDALE — Freshman Sarah Womack clubbed a two-run, two-out single to spark the Sulphur Springs Lady Cats to a 3-2 win over Nacogdoches Friday in the Class 4A area softball playoffs.
Womack's big hit keyed a late rally which took the Lady Cats from trailing to 2-1 to leading 3-2 with one swing of her aluminum wand.
Lady Cats, Lady Dragons meet for area title
The teams are rested, preparations have been made, all that is left is playing the game.
