DALLAS (AP) — Scott LeJuene and Taylor Ashby each had three RBIs and Chris Richburg scored three runs to help Texas Tech defeat Dallas Baptist 9-6 on Wednesday night, snapping a three-game losing streak.
Richburg and Joey Kenworthy scored on a double by LeJeune in the first.
Dallas Baptist (32-14) scored six runs in the next two innings, including a grand slam by Ryan Goins and a solo home run by Travis Meiners.
Texas Tech (21-27) regained the lead with a run in the third and a four-run fifth, including an RBI single by LeJeune and a two-run double by Ashby. Ashby also had an RBI double in the eighth.
The Red Raiders had 21 hits on the night.
Cory Large (1-1) struck out three batters in 2 2-3 innings for the win. Chad Bettis earned his seventh save.
Chris Haney (4-4) gave up two runs in a brief fifth-inning appearance in the loss.
