C-P baseball Eagles split twinbill

COMO — The Como-Pickton Eagles U10 baseball team split their recent doubleheader with the Hallsville Bobcats. 
The first game saw the Eagles quickly get down 6–1. The team rallied back to a 10–7 score, but with the bases loaded, the rally ended on a strike out to end the game.
Carson Watson hit two singles and Michael Arnold had a triple and a single. In the second game, the Eagles jumped out to a 9–3 lead after two innings and cruised to a 11– 5 final.
Stone Richardson exploded for a triple and an inside the park home run, smashing both hits to deep right center field. Cameron Matthews and Trenton Carr chipped in with a single and double apiece.
The Eagles (8-4) will host the Spring Hill Storm in Como Saturday at 4  p.m. and the Hughes Springs Mustangs Sunday at 3 p.m. to conclude their regular season.
They will participate in the DETBA World Series Tournament in Marshall Oct. 24–25.
