C-P baseball team wins three games

The U10 Como-Pickton Eagles baseball team won three of four recent games.

On Saturday, the Eagles fell to the Gladewater Fusion 7-5; then bounced back in the second game winning 8-5. Ruston Bult hit two triples and Cameron Matthews had a double and single to lead the Eagles at the plate. Gunner Morris pitched three innings striking out four for the victory. Sunday, the Eagles traveled to Kilgore to make up games that had been previously rained out. The Eagles swept the Patriots, 14 8 and 11-1. Trenton Carr lead the Eagle attack with a single, double, triple and scored five runs. Cameron Matthews contributed three singles, Tristen Sickles a single and triple, and Matthew Pegues a double. Ruston Bult and Michael Arnold were the winning pitchers.

The Eagles (7-3) travel to Hallsville Saturday and host the first place Hughes Springs Mustangs Sunday at 4 p.m.
