Lady Cat varsity swept on road

HALLSVILLE — Elizabeth Dailey dished out 28 assists as the Hallsville Ladycats won 23-13, 25-11, 25-21 District 13-4A over Sulphur Springs Friday.

The Lady Cats are 0-3 in district play.

The Hallsville JV dropped a 19-25, 25-23, 25-20 decision to Sulphur Springs.

Hailey Hollingsworth led in kills with nine, she also led in points served with 15.  Jessica Horton led in assists with 18.

JV coach Eric Buck said, “Hallsville was a very good team, our girls never quit and forged their way to a great victory.  The JV Ladycats are now 3-0 in district and 17-7 overall.”

Sulphur Springs won the freshmen games, 25-20, 25-22 to go 3-0 in district. They play Athens at home Tuesday at 5 p.m.

The freshmen, JV and varsity play at home Friday against Pine Tree. The varsity game begins at 4:30 p.m. due to homecoming activities.
