WHITEHOUSE — It was a tough night for Sulphur Springs teams as they lost all three games played Thursday in Whitehouse in sub-varsity football action.

The junior varsity was a wild tilt with Whitehouse taking a 55-44 win. In ninth grade action Sulphur Springs lost the B game 32-14 and fell in A team action, 46-6.

In the junior varsity game, Sulphur Springs got two touchdowns, one on a run another on a reception from Dadrian Smith; Dakota Brown had two touchdowns; Kryshad Ivery and Jared Riley had touchdowns rushing. Quarterbacks Blake Macek and Justin Owens combined for three passing touchdowns. Riley and Brown each had two point conversions.

JV coach Derek Smith he was pleased with the effort of the team.

“We played hard, we just ran out of time,” Smith added.

Coaches credited Eric Simmons, Johnathan Carlisle, Tevin Norris and Nathan Winchester with standout play.

In the ninth grade A team game. Traevan Roy  caught a touchdown pass. Jaguarius Johnson had 75 yards on three catches. Cole Hill also played well coach Charlie Coker said.
