Sulphur Springs’ Jackson on Super Team

E-mail Print PDF

Sulphur Springs standout Bryant (Day Day) Jackson, a 6-4, 175-pound  senior safety/defensive back who was listed on the Dave Campbell Texas football Super Team second team defensive squad.

He roams both sides of the ball and may even play special teams.

Jackson has been working out at receiver and returning punt.

His contributions on defense are well known. That’s why he’s already pledged to the University of Texas heading into his senior season.

Last year, enroute to the state title, Bryant was a big time performer.

For the 16-game season he had 99 tackles, five interceptions with 10 pass break-ups.

Wildcat head coach Greg Owens said, “Jackson getting recognized and being on the Super Team is a product of both his talent and us winning state. He’s already committed to Texas. He’s good athlete and was on a team that won state, people want winners in their programs.”
