SS hammers five homers in 11-1 win

It was a home game, but Sulphur Springs players kept dialing long distance.
Long distance as in — home runs.
The Sulphur Springs 14U Wildcats belted five home runs as they trounced Princeton 11-1 in the second round of the North Texas Dixie State boys baseball tournament at Coleman Park Monday evening.
The loss eliminated Princeton from the tournament.
The Princeton squad managed just two hits off Sulphur Springs pitching by Jenner and Jordan Jackson.
Homers for Sulphur Springs were sprinkled up and down the lineup during the show of power hitting.
Twin threats at the plate - Jordan and Jenner Jackson each hit a solo homers, Jordan added a single. Conner Cooper hit a solo big fly. Cole Hill had a home run and a single. Tanner Potts hit a two-run round tripper. Rowdy Sachs and Canyon Gibby had singles.
Today’s games - 3 p.m. -Hughes Springs vs. Fannin Co.; 5:30 p.m. Sulphur Springs vs. Texarkana; 8 p.m. - Longview vs. Spring Hill. The tournament ends Thursday.
