Ty Bench has qualified to compete in the Grand National Championship Motocross Races to be held in Ponca City, OK on July 27 through August 1. Ponca City is the second largest motocross competition in the U.S. Thirty five regions from across the nation send their top twelve riders in each class to compete at the national level.

Ty will be riding in two classes – 85 stock and 85 modified. Ty, son of Brian and Terri Bench of Sulphur Springs, is an honor student at SSMS and a member of Who's Who Among Honor Students. He is the grandson of Gordon and Judy Bench of Sulphur Springs, Nola Meador of Aspermont and Paul Meador of Knox City.

Backing him through his activity has been Autolube of Sulphur Springs along with Louis Powersports of Greenville, ATV of Sulphur Springs and Bench Farrier Service.
