ROXTON — The North Hopkins Panthers answered the call Thursday.

Being idle for two weeks, even playing on the road did not bother them.

Tim Henderson’s Panthers slapped 13 hits and took advantage of seven errors by Roxton to get the lopsided win.

Paco Castro was not only the winning pitcher, he had two hits, including a double.

Canyon Cockrum was 4-for-5 with two doubles; Lorenzo Riviera was 3-for-5- with a double; Dillon Mitchell went 2-for-5 while Brandon Joslin was 1-for-2.

Castro got the win. He struckout six allowing one run off two hits in the game.

The big game happens Saturday at high noon as North Hopkins hosts undefeated district leader Wolfe City.

“We play Saturday against Wolfe City, if we win we are guaranteed to be at least co-district champions,” North Hopkins coach Henderson said.
