The Hallsville Bobcats (4-1 17-1) will play at Eagle Stadium for a 7 p.m. baseball matchup against the Wildcats. Sulphur Springs is 2-3 in district. The Wildcats not only lost Friday 5-3 against Marshall in 13-4A action, but fell 7-6 in non-district play Saturday.
In Monday night sub-varsity baseball play at Hallsville. The freshmen were defeated 12-2 in the opening game. In the second game of the twinbill, Sulphur Springs scored often taking advantage of five Hallsville errors to win, 8-4. Cody Carns pitched a complete game and got the win.
In softball, today Sulphur Springs playing in Hallsville at 6 p.m. The Lady Cats are 6-1 in district, 19-7 overall, ranked No. 19 in the state.
All district games for softball and baseball teams will be held Thursday instead of Friday due to the holiday. The Lady Cats (6 p.m.) and Wildcats (7 p.m.) have home games.
