WINONA — The Como-Pickton track teams traveled to Winona Thursday to participate in the Jack Fry Relays 2009.
"The C-P boys participated in our fourth meet of the year on Thursday. We finished seventh with 13 points. Seven Eagle athletes made the trip," said C-P Eagle head track coach Greg Roller. C-P placed over New Diana and North Hopkins teams. White Oak took first with a point total of 186. White Oak will be the location of the regional qualifiers meet beginning on April 23 through April 25.
Even with the rained out meet that C-P was set to host, the team has already had more experience with more meets this year.
Schedule update: The C-P Eagle track team will compete at the Edgewood track meet on Thursday, April 9 starting at 3:30 p.m.just before breaking for the Easter holiday. C-P does not have school on Friday, April 10 due to a bad weather day.
District 13-2A track meet will be a two-day event at Grand Saline. On Wednesday, April 15 will be field events and preliminaries to the track events, and on Thursday, April 16, finals will commence at 6 p.m.
