12 Wildcats earn all-district soccer honors

The Sulphur Springs Wildcats earned a soccer playoff berth as the third place team in District 20-4A and had a successful season which was rewarded by the recently released all-district selections.
A total of 12 Wildcats earned honors with the team voted on by coaches in the district.
Sophomore Wildcat Fernando Arellano was named the Newcomer of the Year.
Sulphur Springs players named to the first team were: Bailey Booher, Carlos Martinez, seniors;  Rodrigo Larios and Jesus Arellano, juniors; second team choices were: Chris White, Dylan Rutherford, Ross Hicks, senior;   Roberto Juarez, Brad Worsham, juniors; honorable mention: Leo Becerra and Alejando Arellano.
Superlatives on the first team include:
District MVPs — Zack Johnson, North Lamar and Matt Mouer, Greenville; Offensive MVP — Ariel Tempral, Paris; Defensive MVP — Denim Douglas, Greenville; Coach of the Year — Jeff Crank, Paris.
Other members of the first team were:
From Greenville, Jonathan Arellano, Luis  Serrato, Christian Zaquez, seniors: Ryan Wilhelm, junior; Evan Snider, sophomore; North Lamar, Derick Parson, senior; Cole DeVoss, Nick Johnson, juniors; Paris, senior Harper Hunt, Josh Wortham; freshmen, Jose Carias; Commerce, seniors, Devin Felt, Jake McCarty; Princeton, Esteban Marquez.
Second team members were: Greenville, Carlos Najera, sophomore; Emerson, Flores, freshman; North Lamar, Adam Skidmore, junior; Scott Terry, sophomore; Keldon Beal, Landon Garrett, seniors; Paris, Justin Leija, junior;  Will Henderson; Commerce, Joey Farquar and Jared Turner, seniors; Princeton, Alex Solorzano, senior.
