    The North Hopkins Panthers punched their ticket to the playoffs Friday clinching district with a 68-20 win over James Bowie.
    The No. 13-state ranked squad went to 11-0 in district, 24-7 under coach Todd Law.

    The win Friday scoring for North Hopkins included: Kevin Meza 19, Jessie Williams 17, Silas Whaley 12, Triston Follis 5, Trenton Dodd 4, Michale Condo 3, Austin Oldham 3, Blake Adams 2, Tarence Berry 2, Rheston Sills 1.
    The Panthers host Honey Grove Tuesday for Senior Night. They play Feb. 15 in the Whataburger Playoff Preview in Fort Worth. The first Panther playoff game will be either Feb. 20 or Feb. 21.
    The Sulphur Bluff boys won Friday over Union Hill, 70-36  Friday night powered in part by Dakota Emerson’s 26 points.
    Emerson had eight 3-pointers on the night. Erin Zeringue added 15; Jaden Goldsmith, Kaleb Brown 9 each, Tyler Rains 7 and Landon Dorner 4.
    The Bears play a warm-up game at Bland, Friday at 6 p.m.
    Sulphur Bluff will be in the boys playoffs Feb. 18 against Fruitvale at Rains High School in Emory at 6 p.m.
    The Saltillo Lady Lions won over Honey Grove, 40-39 in a Friday warm-up game. They also have a warm-up game Monday at 6 p.m. at Tyler Junior College against Yantis. Saltillo, 20-10,  has a bye to the area round which has not been determined.
    The Yantis Lady Owls went undefeated and won district for the second consecutive year.
. Monday the team will play Saltillo at 6 p.m. at Wagstaff Gym on the Tyler Junior College campus.
    The Lady Owls have a first round playoff bye. They will play the winner of Bellevue/Ector.
    The Miller Grove Lady Hornets are in the playoffs under head coach Gary Billingsley.
    The Lady Hornets face Karnack in the first round of the playoffs.
    The game is set Tuesday, Feb. 11 at Mount Pleasant High School at 7:30 p.m.
