Sulphur Springs teams have big games against Hallsville tonight in 14-4A competition.
It’s Senior Night for the Lady Cats at the SSHS gym.

Senior players to be honored include: Shakoja Debase, Chaliyah Moore and Destiny Wade.
Three games are set with the ninth grade beginning at 5 p.m. Seniors will be honored at 7 p.m. prior to the start of the varsity game.
The Lady Cats are 21-5 overall, 6-3 in district. They beat Hallsville 54-29 on the road on Jan. 17.
The red-hot Sulphur Springs Wildcats will be at Hallsville tonight with their five-game win streak on the line against three Bobcats. Three games are scheduled, ninth, JV and varsity beginning at 5 p.m.
“We need to make sure we take care of our business at Hallsville,” said Jeremy Josey, Wildcats head basketball coach. “Every game in district is a battle especially on the road. Their gym is a tough place to play. They do a great job of filling that gym with pre-game stuff that can be a distraction to us is we allowed it.”
Josey added, “ We must continue to play each possession, each half and each game one at a time and make sure we don’t get caught looking ahead.”
Sulphur Springs is 13-11, 5-2 coming off a big 75-57 win over Texas High.
The Bobcats are 1-6, tied for last in the district. Sulphur Springs defeated Hallsville 61-31 in the SSHS gym on Jan. 17 for their first victory of their district winning streak.
