    The Sulphur Springs Lady Cats host Denison today in a home soccer match at Gerald Prim Stadium.
    The junior varsity game is at 5:30 p.m, varsity at 7:15 p.m.

downs Cumby
in district tilt
 The Cumby Trojans fell 38-35  in a tough recent district basketball contest.
    Cody Anderson had 14 points to pace the Trojans. Noah Dyer added 10 points.
    Cumby will play at Bland today with games set at 5:30 and 8 p.m.

Saltillo team
takes hoop
    Several basketball teams in the county took part in the recent district junior high tournament.
    Saltillo defeated Sulphur Bluff 32-25 and downed C.H.E.S.S. by a 31-24 score in the tournament.
    In the win over Sulphur Bluff, Michael Simmons was a high point with 16. Brandon McGill added 11, Nathan Valenzuela, Walker McGill 2 each; Lyle Bench 1.
    Simmons was the top scorer in the win over C.H.E.S.S. with 17. Other scorers were - Bench 10, Valenzuela, W. McGill 2 apiece.
    In other recent action, Saltillo’s A team won over Miller Grove, 49-25.
    Simmons had 12 to pace the squad. Brandon McGill scored 10, Valenzuela added 9, Bench 8, Ben Moore 4, W. McGill 3, Moore 2.
    "We had good all around effort. The boys played well together and did a good job of patiently moving the ball around and finding the open person."  said Saltillo coach Jan Heijligers.
