    Sulphur Springs  teams will face foes from Pine Tree in key 14-4A basketball action tonight.

    The Lady Cats will be at home hosting the Pine Tree Lady Pirates. The freshmen game begins at 5 p.m. followed by the junior varsity and varsity.
    It will be the second meeting of the year between the two district foes. In the first game held in Longview, the Lady Cats were defeated 58-45. In that game, Kabreisha Orange led Pine Tree with 24 teams. Sky Holmes added 15 and Sheondra Clayton had 11 points.
    For Sulphur Springs, Desi Debase scored 28 and Destiny Wade added 10 points.
    Sulphur Springs is in need of win to stay near the top in district standings. Both the Lady Pirates and Lady Cats enter the game with 3-2 district records.
    The Wildcats play at Longview with three games against Pine Tree starting at 5 p.m.
    Sulphur Springs is 1-2 in district coming off a 30-point win over Hallsville. Darian Dial-Hall had 16 points, Jaylon Dugan scored 14, Isaiah Lacy added 13 and Cain Cody scored 11 points.
    Pine Tree is 0-3, they fell 99-67 to district-leader Marshall in Friday action. The Pirates made 47 turnovers with 13 players scoring for the Mavericks. Caleb Chumley lead Pine Tree with 23 points and eight rebounds. Pine Tree is 1-21 for the year.
    The Wildcats are 9-11 for the year under Sulphur Springs head boys coach Jeremy Josey.
