Bowling league report for Jan. 21

Shayne Wilson led his Packers/Chargers to a four game sweep of their opponents Sunday night during the Super Bowl Post Bowl league.  Competing on lanes one and two, Wilson unleashed a perfect 300 game to start the night and followed up with scores of 267 and 213 for a 780 scratch series, enough to claim the men’s high set for the evening.  


    Wilson had help throughout the night from Susan Shelton and Mike Fletcher.  Shelton posted the women’s high set with her 630 three game scratch series that included games of 212 and 237.  Mike Fletcher booked a respectable 710 scratch set on his 216 average.  Fletcher was above par all three games with scores of 232, 235 and 243.  
    Amy Sharp recorded the women’s high set of the week during Tuesday’s mixed action.  Sharp’s 632 included games of 235 and 208 on her 183 individual average.  Justin Haggerty tossed games of 224 and 225, while David Strain shot a 222 to begin the match.  Jason Parmer nabbed games of 245 and 211 to help Sharp and company take all four possible wins from the bout.  

Super Bowl Post Bowl
    Jason Keller bagged the men’s second high set of the night with his 771 scratch effort on lanes eleven and twelve.  Keller muscled games of 267, 287 and 217 to help his team, the Seahawks/Titans, take four wins.  Keller’s teammates, Evan Tinney and Neldon Smith, chipped in with scratch sets of 717 and 702.  Tinney charted scores of 246, 240 and 231 on his 195 individual average.  Smith tossed games of 257, 228 and 217 to complete the match 33 pins above his average for series.  
    Tarry Davison led his team, the Texans/Lions, to a three win victory on his 740 three game scratch series.  Davison never missed his mark Sunday night rolling games of 226, 247 and 267 enabling his team to climb into a two way tie for third place in the team standings.  

Monday Night Trio
    Allan Hague took the reins for his team, Ann & 2 Gents., nailing a solid 760 three game scratch set.  Hague booked games of 257, 256 and 247 to lead his team to four wins Monday night.  Ann Haas pitched in with games of 150 and 148 on her 126 individual average.  
    The Cat’s Meow team  was ready for action Monday night charting an exceptional 1704 total scratch series.  Cathye Michaelson, the team’s leadoff bowler, bowled games of 209 and 214 helping the team take three wins from the session.  Bruce Michaelson fired a notable 701 scratch set that included scores of 267 and 227 while Jason Keller shot an impressive 738 three game scratch set.  
    Debbie Miller and Zane Calderon led their team, Smuckers Boys, to sweep their competition Monday night with their scratch sets of 581 and 239.  Miller recorded scores of 213 and 190, while Calderon rolled games of 172, 190 and 177 on his 172 individual average.
 
Tuesday Night Mixed
    Nick Myers had a stand out night during Tuesday’s mixed play with his 710 scratch series.  Myers, with a 175 average, demolished his opponents with scores of 278, 180 and 252.  Myers ended the match a staggering 185 pins above his average for series.
    David Soeder led team X-It to one win with his 716 three game scratch series.  Soeder shot games of 256, 237 and 223 on his 214 individual average.  
    Allan Hague, team captain of the Cat’s Meow, was dialed in all night shooting scores of 236, 258 and 269 enabling his team to escape with three wins Tuesday.  
    Tina Phillips shot her highest game of the season thus far with her 256 to start Tuesday’s series.  Phillips added games of 161 and 162 for a 579 scratch set to end the match 117 pins above her average for series.  Phillips’ teammate, Sisco Zarco, tossed games of 201 and 178 to help team take three wins for the evening.  

Thursday Men’s Commercial
    Dave Gholson led the men Thursday night with his 756 three game scratch set on lanes one and two.  Gholson wasted no time Thursday bowling a magnificent 254 to start the session.  Gholson followed with games of 244 and 258 to lead his team to a three game victory over their competition.  
    Neldon Smith continued his momentum from Sunday night firing an awesome 711 three game scratch series.  Smith, with a 211 average, rolled games of 210, 247 and 254.  
    Mike Gilliland just missed the 700 mark with his 697 scratch performance.  Gilliland posted scores of 238, 214 and 245 to help his team, Just Do It, into a four way tie for second place in the team standings.  
    Darreyl Dixon fought for a 705 three game scratch set Thursday.  Dixon started the night hot with games of 268 and 253 but struggled the last game of the series, unable to get his team in the win column for the match.  Dixon was however was able to clinch sole possession of second place on the most improved average board with a 28.29 pins improvement over his 175 starting average.  
    Tarry Davison took the Champs to three of the four possible wins Thursday night on his 732 scratch set.  Davison mangled his opponents with scores of 244, 250 and 238 helping his team into a four way tie for second place in the team standings.  
    Shayne Wilson led his King Pins to take two wins on his 716 three game scratch series, while two lanes over Allan Hague tossed a 715 scratch series that included a solid 279 during the first game of the session.
