    The Cumby Lady Trojans lost four times in recent varsity basketball action.

    Cumby fell by a 48-23 score in recent play against Blue Ridge. Scorers for the Lady Trojans were: Candice Horrocks 7. Grace Campbell  6, Kaylee Giles 4, Madison Thomas 3, Ashley Purser   and        
Mackenzie Fyke 2 each.
    The Cumby team lost a 50-44 decision at the hands of Wolfe City.
    Scorers were: Thomas 13, Giles 12, Campbell 11, Mackenzie Fyke 4, Purser and Bailey Braddock 2 apiece.
    Bland edged out Cumby, 41-34.
    Scorers for the Lady Trojans were: Horrocks 11, Purser and Campbell 6 each; Thomas 4, Fyke 4, Giles and Braddock 2 apiece.
    Trenton took 51-30 win over Cumby.
    Campbell led the team with 9 points; Purser 7, Horrocks 5, Thomas, Giles and Braddock 3 points each.

Friday night
    The Sulphur Springs boys and girls basketball teams have district games set Friday against Hallsville.
    The Lady Cats, 17-4 overall, 2-2 in district will be playing on the road against Hallsville.
    Sulphur Springs fell Tuesday 62-61 at home against Texas High.
    Three games are slated for Friday with the freshmen, junior varsity and varsity beginning play at 5 p.m.
    The Wildcats will be trying to snap a losing streak in district as they host Hallsville.
    Sulphur Springs will host the Bobcats in the SSHS gym. Action begins with the freshmen game at 5 p.m. followed by the junior varsity at 6:15 p.m. and the varsity game at 7:30 p.m.
    The Wildcats are looking for their first district win.
