From Staff Reports

The first action of the year for the Sulphur Springs boys soccer squad combined a mixture of skills and fun.

The alumni game went the way of the high school players by a 3-0 count over their former teammates as the two teams clashes Saturday at Gerald Prim Stadium.
Goals game by Brian Delarosa, Samuel Gallegos and Adrian Lopez.
“I thought Samuel Gallegos played well for us,” said Andy Holt, Sulphur Springs headboys varsity coach. “He will be our sweeper this year and he made some good decisions and big plays.  He ended up going to forward for a short period of time and was able to get a goal for us.  I thought Ryan Watson and Tanner Ramirez also played well for us.  We will be playing Frisco Heritage today in our last scrimmage before we start play Thursday in the Forney Tournament.”
The Wildcats are looking for another successful season after taking district titles the last two years.
The first home game is Jan. 21 against Pittsburg. JV and varsity games are planned.
