C.H.E.S.S. boys
rip UH, 69-16
    The Knights got 22 points from Austin McKim and 12 more from Ben Holladay as C.H.E.S.S. rolled to a 69-16 win over Union Hill in boys varsity basketball action.
    “All 10 players suited up scored tonight,” said coach Donnie South.


    The Knights are 18-4 and will play Jan. 10 at home  (Central Baptist Church) against King’s Academy at 8 p.m.

Cumby loses
to Blue Ridge
    The Cumby Trojans lost 76-47 in recent basketball action against Blue Ridge.
    Noah Dyer had 18 points for top  scoring honors. Also in double figures were Travis Taylor with 13 and Cody Anderson with 10 points.
    Cumby plays today at home against Wolfe City with the  JV game at 2 p.m. and varsity contest at 4:30 p.m.

Eagles lose
to Lone Oak
    Como-Pickton fell behind early and lost 50-28 to Lone Oak in recent boys basketball action.
    Luke Cox had 14 points for the Eagles in defeat.

Alumni soccer
set today
    The Sulphur Springs Wildcats alumni soccer game will be held Saturday at Gerald Prim Stadium.
    Coach Andy Holt said action involving junior varsity players will begin at 4 p.m. and varsity play at 5:30 p.m.
