Chisum 54, NH girls 26
BIRTHRIGHT — The cold front hit early for the North Hopkins Lady Panthers as cold shooting led to Paris Chisum taking a 54 - 26 win Tuesday night.

The Lady Panthers, now 6-7 on the year, jumped to an early 4-1 lead but could night find the bucket again until midway through the second quarter. Chisum held a 31-9 advantage at intermission.
"We couldn't buy a bucket and then the 22 turnovers in the first half didn't help," Lady Panther head coach Larry Tucker said. "We did play a lot better defensively in the second half and we will try to build on that. The girls kept fighting to the end."
Miranda Rushin had five points while Baile Gammill, Shyenne Mitchell and Chelsey Crouch each had four. Mitchell pulled down 11 rebounds in the loss.
The Lady Panthers are idle this weekend, but start District 16-A play with a road trip to Simms Bowie Tuesday beginning at 5 with the JV followed by the varsity.
