tilts vs. Avery
    SALTILLO — Braden Ivy scored 12 points in a losing cause as the Saltillo Lions lost at home 49-45 in recent action.


    “Both teams played extremely hard. This was our fourth game and I’ve been impressed with how much we hustle,” said Bill Giles, Saltillo head boys coach.     In junior varsity action, Saltillo won by a 37-29 final.

    The Cumby Lady Trojans rolled to a 63-19 win in recent girls varsity basketball action.
    Kaylee Giles had 25 points to pace the Cumby attack.
    Other scorers were: Candice Horrocks 14, Mackenzie Fyke 12, Madison Thomas 5, Grace Campbell 4, Bailey Braddock 2 and Viviana Ugalde 1.

    The Cooper Bulldogs, 12-0 for the year, will take on Scurry-Rosser (12-0) Friday in the high school football playoffs.
    The Class 2A, Region II regional game is set at Royse City, at 7:30 p.m. The Bulldogs are 11-point favorites.
