    The C.H.E.S.S. Knights took a 55-54 win over Miller Grove in recent boys basketball action.
    Austin South had 15 points for high point honors for the Knights.


    Other C.H.E.S.S. scorers  are: Austin McKim 12, Mason Moore and Joel Collins 9 each; Nick Gonzalez 6, Armin Gauntt, Ben Holladay 2 points each.
    Moore had two key 3-pointers in the final quarter.
    The next game for C.H.E.S.S. is Thursday night vs. Sam Rayburn in the Campbell Tournament.

Saltillo falls to C.H.E.S.S.
in JH action
    SALTILLO — Michael Simmons had 23 in a losing cause as the Lions fell to C.H.E.S.S. in recent boys junior high basketball action,  40-37.
    Other scorers for Saltillo were: Lyle Bench with 10 and and Nathan Valenzuela 4.
    “Good junior high game. C.H.E.S.S. just out-played us,” said Jan Heijiligers, Saltillo coach.
    The next game for the Lions is at home Nov. 18 vs. Miller Grove.

Registration set
for basketball
cheer, league
    Registration continues though Nov. 15 for Upward Basketball and cheerleading.
    The early registration is $60 for basketball before Nov. 15 and $70 afterward. The same fees apply to cheerleading.
    Deadline for registration is Nov. 23 and open to students K5 throught sixth grade.
    A Bright Star league for K through 18 will also be held at no charge for special needs players.
