The Cumby Lady Trojans and Miller Grove Lady Hornets are both in Class A area playoff action tonight.
Cumby takes on the Avery Lady Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Paris High School.

The Lady Trojans won a five-set match over Gary in the bi-district. In that contest, Alex Duck led the team with 8 kills, 6 digs, 3 blocks, 8 points, 2 aces. Kaylee Giles had five kills; Madison Thomas had 10 digs, 4 kills, 4 points, 2 aces; Grace Campbell had 10 points, 7 digs, 5 kills and 3 assists; Candice Horrocks had 8 points.
The Lady Hornets are playing Roxton Friday at 7 p.m. at Sulphur Bluff.
“Roxton does not make many mistakes. We played them early in the year but they looked like a totally different team Tuesday night,” said coach Gary Billingsley. “They get to every ball and their middle is playing well.  We will have to play our game and be sure we don’t beat ourselves.”
Probable starters for Miller Grove include: Eden Godwin soph.; Bailey Penny, soph., Alma Del Castillo, Kaylan Bounds, Brandie McLane, Shelbi Potts, all seniors.
The coach added, “We are 27-5 for the year.  I think the success this year is attributed to the determination of these ladies. They were challenged to make some changes and be more accountable to the program rather than themselves. These changes have helped them bond and become a team that cares about each other and not their individual needs or wants.  It has been fun watching them this year and to see the change in the attitude of our younger girls because of their success is awesome.”
