Como-Pickton has been preparing for their season finale all week, despite rain and wet conditions.

Como-Pickton will host Paris Chisum at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Ron Heflin Field. It will be the final night for four Eagles on the football squad.
Playing their last game of the year will be Deon McGill, Hunter Childers, Caleb Boyd and Cole Mitchell.
“It is Senior  Night and we have four football players.  These seniors. have been very important to us, especially since we have played with many underclassmen,” said Conley Bland, Como-Pickton head football coach. “It has been a difficult year for them, because like most seniors. they had hoped for a good year.  I am very proud of the seniors because they made a commitment and stuck with it, unlike many of their classmates.”
Bland said, “We worked in rain each day at practice. Chisum is a good team and a lot better than they have been in the past.  It will be a tough game for us, but our guys will give a great effort, just like they have all year.”
The Eagles are 0-9 for the year and trying to end the season on a positive note against the visiting Mustangs.
Chisum comes into the game with a 3-6 mark, 1-4 in district play.
