BOGATA — The Como-Pickton Eagles fell to 0-9 on the year, losing here Friday to the Rivercrest Rebels, 36-0.
The win was the first of the year for the Rebels and the first district victory for the sqaud.
Como-Pickton managed 68 total yards in the game, all on the ground. It was the eighth game where the Eagles were held scoreless.
Zach Robinson was the leading rusher for the Eagles with 15 carries for 48 yards. John Collins had six carries for 14 yards. Blake Neal ran twice for six yards.
Quarterback Cody Fite threw one pass, it was intercepted by the Rebels.
In recent sub-varsity football action against Rivercrest, the C-P seventh grade won 20-16.
In eighth grade action, Juan Monterroso was a workhorse with 28 carries for 340 yards and five scores and a conversion in the 34-14 win over Rivercrest. Quarterback Colton Clark was 3 for 10 passing for 35 yards and a two-point conversion. Stone Richardson had all three receptions.
Matt Pegues had two interceptions on defense.
Coach Robert Snyder also credited the offensive line with strong play.
