The Sulphur Springs Lady Cats fell 3-0 at Mount Pleasant Tuesday in the district volleyball finale.
“As disappointing as it was to end the season on a loss to Mount Pleasant Tuesday night, I can't help but be proud of how successful the season has been for the Lady Cats in comparison to the past,” said Michelle Namanny, Lady Cats head volleyball coach.
The coach continued, “ We didn't do much better in district, but we finished the season with a 15-21 record and placed fifth in district behind Mount Pleasant. It has been a blessing and an honor to coach this group of young women, and we will miss our eight seniors so much next season. I really believe we have set the tone for future SSHS volleyball players in the seasons to come. This program has so much potential to be great and top in the district, and that is our goal for next year. We have tasted success and are hungry for more.”
