Cumby beats
Yantis; earns
playoff berth
    The Cumby Lady Trojans secured playoff spot with win over Yantis for second place in District 19-A.


    Cumby won by scores 25-19, 25-27, 25-20, 22-25, 15-12
     Cumby standouts were:
Grace Campbell - 20 points, 2 aces, 2 kills, 2 assists, 2 digs
Candice Horrocks - 14 points, 8 kills, 11 assists; Demi McDonald- 13 points, 2 kills, 7 digs; Alex Duck - 10 points, 10 kills, 3 blocks; Madison Thomas- 7 points, 4 kills, 4 digs; Julia Goncalves- 7 points, 12 assists
Kaylee Giles- 6 kills, 3 blocks
Mackenzie Fyke - 1 kill, 1 dig
Viviana Ugalde - 2 kills.
    Cumby is 6-4 in district, 14-21 overall.
 Next Game:  TBA.     Bi-District is November 4-5.  

Yantis splits
recent games
    The Yantis Lady Owls split recent district games.
    Against Fruitvale, the team won 25-21, 25-21, 26-24 to take the match 3-0.
    Standouts were: Lila Hurley, 11 digs, 4 serves: Angelica Sandoval, 5 serves, 3 tips, 3 digs; Josey Wetzel, 2 serves, 1 kill, 2 tips, 2 blocks, 2 points off free ball; Molly Bell, 1 kills, 2 tips, 4 blocks, 2 points off free ball; Ashley Bagwell, 1 serve, 3 kills, 3 points off free ball; Destiny Garces, 2 serves, 1 point off free ball; 5 assists.
    Cumby defeated the Lady Owls in five sets Saturday.
