C-P Eagles lose to Edgewood, 55-0

    EDGEWOOD — The Como-Pickton Eagles fell 55-0 here Friday in district football action against the Bulldogs.
    Edgewood had 313 total yards on the night compared to 83 for the winless Eagles.

    The Bulldogs (7-1, 4-0) were barking early scoring four times in the first quarter and added 21 points in the second frame.
    Edgewood got a 56-yard score from Carlos Bolton a punt return. Tye Ellis scooped up a fumble and rans 47-yards for another score.
    Bolton added a 49-yard touchdown run.
    Edgewood went to the air as Jackson Tyner threw a 10-yard scoring pass to Jace Morgan to make it a 27-0 lead.
    Tyner kept the hot hand and threw a 41-yard scoring pass to Tyler Germany. Tyner went back up top again, this time finding Jakeb Hunter on a 34-yard scoring combination.
    Tyner scored on a short run. The final tally for Edgewood came when Brandon Wager scored on on a 22-yard burst.    The fourth quarter was scoreless.
    Zach Robinson had a full night of work for Como-Pickton. He had 31 carries for 60 yards to pace the squad. Blake Neal ran seven times for 26 yards.
    Como-Pickton quarterback Cody Fite completed 2 of 5 passes for six yards. Neal caught a pass for five yards. Brazos Kight had a reception for a yard.
    Fite ran five times for minus nine yards.
    Como-Pickton, 0-7, will host Clarksville on Oct. 25.
