CUMBY — The hometown Trojans lose their second straight key district game Friday night.
Cumby was down 25-13 in action played at Frazier-Lawrence Field.
The defeat dropped Cumby to 1-7 for the year, 0-2 in district.
Detroit takes the win and moves to 5-3 overall, 2-0 in district.
Travis Taylor had a good night for the Trojans. He rushed 13 times for 108 yards and completed 5 of 12 passes for 86 yards.
Cody Anderson had seven carries for 74 yards and one touchdowns. Nick Folse ran well, scoring and picking up 68 yards on 11 attempts.
Folse also caught three passes for 48 yards. Anderson had two grabs for 40.
“We played great at times and bad at times. When we play well we can play with anyone,” said Tom Dracos, Cumby head coach. “We were down 12-7 at half and came out and drove down and scored to go up. 13-12. Just couldn't hold on. Our team has improved so much over the year. I am so proud of their efforts. Taylor, Anderson and Folse ran well.”
