play Friday
    Cumby and Como-Pickton will both be in district competition Friday.

    The Trojans will host Detroit in a key district game Friday at Frazier-Lawrence Field at 7:30 p.m.
    Cumby is looking for their first win in District 10-1A, D2 play. Detroit is favored by 14.
    Como-Pickton, winless for the year, will play at Edgewood.
    Edgewood is 6-1, 2-0 in district. They are coming off a 73-24 win over Chisum.
Yantis girls
defeat NH
    The Yantis Lady Owls won three of four games to take a 3-1 match win in district volleyball action against North Hopkins.
    Yantis won the first game 25-6, then fell 18-25 to North Hopkins. The Lady Owls regrouped to win the final two games 25-23, 25-22 in hard-fought battles.
    Standouts for Yantis include- Lila Hurley - 9 serves, 3 digs; Angelica Sandoval  3 serves, 1 kill, 3 tips, 4 blocks, 3 points off free ball; Josey Wetzel - 5 serves, 5 kills, 3 tips, 4 blocks, 3  points off free ball; Ashley Bagwell - 4 serves, 4 kills, 1 tip, 1 dig, 2 points off free ball; Molly Bell - 3 serves, 2 kills, 2 tips, 1 block, 2 points off free ball and Destiny Garces - 1 tip, 1 point off free ball, 18 assists.
    The Lady Owls trek to Quinlan to play Boles at 4;30 p.m. today.
Lady Cats
play tonight
    The Sulphur Springs Lady Cats will play in Texarkana today in district volleyball action.
    Three games are slated to be played. The varsity, junior varsity and freshmen will play.
    Sulphur Springs has Senior Night Tuesday at home against Marshall according to coach Michelle Namanny.
