Former SS players in college action

Several parents and grandparents reminded me I left out names of former Sulphur Springs players who were playing college football in my article Wednesday.
Actually, the article was written to bring credit to the players who had scored touchdowns in recent games.

But I don’t mind giving a mention to others who are contributing to college programs.
Beau Carpenter is a 6-6, 285-pound right tackle for Texas Tech. Beau is a junior for the Red Raiders. He was a standout in the recent 54-16 win over Kansas. The offensive line provided protection so the squad could pass for 404 yards. Carpenter is coming back from a recent ankle injury.
Texas Tech is 5-0 and ranked No. 20 in the nation. The Red Raiders host Iowa State Saturday.
I also failed to mention some of the players at Southeastern Oklahoma State University when the score was reported against Texas A&M-Commerce.
On the roster as Southeastern are: Keelan Green, senior wide receiver; Reese Harred, freshman offensive lineman; Sawyer Sinclair, sophomore linebacker/deep snapper and Heath Howard, redshirt freshman defensive tackle.
Green has one catch for nine yards. Sawyer has played in two games and has one tackle.
Kendrick Daniels, another former Wildcat, is playing running back for Arkansas State University. Daniels is a 5-7 freshman with 21 yards rushing on seven carries in limited duty.
Justin Owens is on the roster as a quarterback at Arkansas Tech University. Owens, a freshman, is also coming off an injury. For the season, he has 25 rushes for 112 yards with five touchdowns.
Bryant “Day Day” Jackson is a junior wide receiver for the University of Texas. Jackson is sidelined with a broken foot.
Triston Crook and Cody Clayton are  playing football at Henderson State in Arkadelphia, Ark.
Buddy Ivery is a running back at Shasta (Calif.) College.
Kedrick Dial is a junior defensive lineman transfer at West Texas A&M University. Dial was not mentioned in the recent story about the nationally ranked Buffs. Defensive back Johnny McSheffery and wide receiver Jace Jackson, former Wildcats are also on the roster.
Shane McQueen is on the practice squad at Texas A&M-Commerce.
