Lady Cats play at Hallsville tonight

The Sulphur Springs Lady Cats stayed in the hunt in the District 14-4A race with their recent win at Marshall.
    That victory sets up another key game tonight when the Lady Cats journey to Hallsville.

    The Lady Cats and Lady Bobcats meet today at Hallsville High School. The first game is the ninth grade at 4:30 p.m. with the junior varsity and varsity to follow.
    Sulphur Springs won a 3-1 score over Marshall in their last outing.
    The win was the first in 14-4A play for the Lady Cats. Sulphur Springs opened district action losing in straight sets to both Pine Tree and Texas High.
    Hallsville is 3-0 for the year in district, undefeated and alone atop the 14-4A standings.
    Statistical leaders for Hallsville include: Erin McCallum, 194 kills; Haley Boyett, 874 assists; Katie McElroy, 408 digs and Savanah McAmis, 272 digs.
