Cumby and Como-Pickton will be involved in big games today as high school football moves into October.
The festivities are planned and a big crowd is expected for homecoming at Frazier-Lawrence Field in Cumby.
The game between Quinlan Boles and Cumby will have a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
Cumby is 1-4 for the year. The Trojans are riding momentum from a 36-0 win over Trenton.
That win was not only the first of the season for the Trojans, but the initial win of the career of head coach Tom Dracos.
Dracos was presented the game ball by the team following the win in an emotional scene.
Cumby is a 30-point underdog at home against the undefeated Boles squad.
The Hornets were the pre-season pick to finish fourth in district. They might have something to saw about a higher finish if they continue their success in district.
The game in the final non-district tilt for both Cumby and Boles.
Meanwhile over in Cooper, the Bulldogs are going to kickoff district play by hosting Como-Pickton.
The game is set for 7:30 p.m. at Cooper’s Bulldog Stadium.

Como-Pickton is not only without a win this year, they have not scored in five games.
Cooper, a team ranked as a statewide power, has been scoring 48 points per game.
The contest could be dominated by the Bulldog running game. Top backs for the Cooper team are Jermay Sims and Damarcus Robinson.
The Bulldogs average almost 500 yards per game.
