Sulphur Springs fell to 2-1 in district team tennis play after a recent 13-6 home loss to a strong Hallsville squad.
The Lady Cat netters got all the wins for the team.
In girls singles - Sulphur Springs won five of six matches. Kezli Cook downed Krista Glazer, 6-3, 6-3; Morgan Sutton downed Rebecca Hunt, 6-1, 6-1; Abbey Martin took a three set win over McKenra Barker, 1-6, 6-0, 10-8; Magan Smith was victorious 7-6, (7-1) 6-4) over Anna Surholt; Anne-Marie Winborn whipped Hanna Wells, 6-1, 6-0. Caroline Burns was defeated by Bethany Mayfield, 6-2, 6-1.
In girls doubles - Sutton and Martin teamed to beat Hunt/Nut, 6-4, 6-4. The double duo of Cook and Smith fell to Barker/Surholt; Burns and Winborn lost to Wells/Glazer, 6-1, 6-0.
Sulphur Springs was swept in boys competition. In singles - Drew Sant fell to Cole Cathey, 6-0, 6-0; Ryan Wilson lost 6-1, 6-3 to Zach Tunner; Jayce Johnson was defeated by Turitt Arnhart, 6-1, 6-4; Johnathan Philo lost to Luke Somers, 6-0, 6-1; Jesse Allen had a three-set loss to Larry Rodgers, 4-6, 6-3, 10-7; Tommy Helffrich fell to Walker Wells, 6-1, 6-2.
In boys doubles - Johnson/Philo lost 6-2, 6-1 to Cathey/Arnhart; Wilson/Allen went to down in defeat to Somers/Tunner, 6-0, 6-0; Sant/Helffrich lost to Huff/Wells, 6-0, 7-6 (7-3).
In mixed doubles - Sulphur Springs players Steven Payne and Jaspyn Johnson lost 6-0, 6-0 to Mayfield/Rodgers.
Sulphur Springs will return to district play today, taking on district champion Texas High in Texarkana.
