SSMS volleyball teams split at PT

LONGVIEW — Sulphur Springs lost a three game match here recently against Pine Tree.

    The eighth grade Lady Cats came out strong, winning the first game, 25-10. But Pine Tree took the final two games 27-25 and 28-26 in thrilling battles.
    Anden Hammack led in points with 10, she added 20 assists and one kill. Imani Taylor had 7 points, 15 passes, 1 kill; Kaylee Jefferson, 5 points, 10 sets, and 14 kills; Karlee Adams, 5 points, 3 kills; Alyssa Abron led in passes with 18, 3 points; Meikega Bentham, 8 kills; Brooke Williams, 5 points, 1 kill; Hannah Dixon and Taylor Robinson, 3 points each according to coach Robbie Horton.
    The white team won 25-23 and 25-17. Maggie McGlamery led with 6 points, 7 passes, 5 sets, 3 kills; Maya Dugan and Kate Potts added 5 points each; Jamia Hall 5 kills
    Next game for team is in Mount pleasant Monday at 4:30 p.m.
