Yantis falls
to Dodd City
    The Yantis Lady Owls fell 3-0 in recent volleyball action against Dodd City.
    Dodd City won by scores of 25-20, 25-12, 25-19.

    Standouts for Yantis include - Angelica Sandoval, 1 kill, 3 service points, 3 aces; Destiny Garces, 2 aces, 1 service point; Molly Bell, 7 points, 1 ace; Josey Wetzel, 6 kills, 1 block, 1 ace.

NH girls
lose to Chisum
    The North Hopkins Lady Panthers were defeated 25-8, 25-15, 25-19 by Paris Chisum in Friday action.
    Standouts for NH were - Allegra Thomas, 6 kills; Saraha Weatherhead, 8 assists, Daila Cortez, 16 digs; Madison Thompson, 4 kills; Chelsae Houser, 3 kills; Kelsey Buchanan 2 kills, Baile Gammil, 6 assists.
    In other recent action, Roxton won over North Hopkins, 12-25, 25-22, 25-20, 12-25, 10-15. North Hopkins won consolation in the Cumby/Commerce Tournament held over Labor day. NH lost to Detroit, 25-20, 25-20; beat Yantis, 25-22, 25-17 and smacked Savoy, 25-17, 25-20.

        The North Hopkins varsity  girls  and boys teams won second place in cross country at Lake Bob Sandlin sponsored by Pittsburg ISD.  
    Individuals competing - Stephanie Gamez third, 15:01;Victoria Wilburn, sixth, 15:26; Melissa Wischerman, 10th, 16:27; Denise Calixto 11th, 16:29; Kelsey Wolfe, 12th,  16:36; Cheyanne Cockrum, 21st, 18:10, and Elizabeth Wilburn 22nd, 18:16.
The varsity boys were second,  competing were - Cole Sprague, first, 20:20; Jovanny Perez, fifth, 21:13; Mauricio Gamez, seventh, 22:01; Jessie Williams, eighth, 22:13, Morgan Joslin, 14th, 22:54; Javier Rojo, 16th, 23:39; Alan Morehead, 17th, 23:44; Carlos Delgado, 18th,  23:53  and Enrique Sol, 26th, 30:46.  

Cumby team
in competition

The Cumby cross country team did well in the Tyler Lee meet Saturday, according to coach Mackenzie Cross Perkins. Grace Campbell was fourth, Viviana Ugalde was sixth out of a girls field of 100 racers. Chandler Waters was 14th in boys action out of 154 races.
 Also competing were  Madison Thomas,  Ashley Marie Purser, Tristan White and Marcos Osorio.
