DENTON — Two former Sulphur Springs players are doing well on the football team at the University of North Texas.
Mason Y’Barbo, a 6-2, 307-pound offensive lineman continues to be a consistent contributor to the offensive line and a standout according to reports. He was also recently named a team captain.
Blake Macek, a 5-8, 186-pound red shirt freshmen, is now a scholarship punter after first joining the team as a walk-on.
Both are former Sulphur Springs players and SSHS graduates.
The Mean Green, 1-0, play at Ohio today.
