Miller Grove
remains
undefeated
in volleyball
HEATH — Miller Grove played well in the Fulton Academy  Tournament winning all games played over the weekend.
In bracket play, the Lady Hornets won over the host school, Fulton, by scores of 25-11, 25-10 in the semifinals.

Miller Grove took a win over Westlake Academy, 25-13, 25-19 to win the finals.
“The girls did a good job this weekend. We worked on a few things during the pool play games so we started sluggish but finished strong,” said Gary Billingsley, head coach. “Westlake was a very good team. They had two good hitters. We were able to frustrate them in the first set.  The second set was tight until we went on a 4-0 run with the game tied at 17-17. I am proud of the effort the girls are giving. We still have a long road ahead of us and need to continue to improve each day.”
The Lady Hornets, now 7-0 for the year, will play Tuesday at home against Wolfe City Tuesday at 6 p.m.
