HARTS BLUFF — The No. 4 state-ranked Saltillo Lady Lions defeated the undefeated Clarksville Lady Tigers in a postseason warm-up game Monday night, 43-34.

Saltillo has a bye in the first round of playoffs and their record for District 22-A Div. II remains perfect at 4-0 with an overall record of 27-2.
Clarksville had just celebrated a 14-0 undefeated District 12-2A championship when Saltillo came to the basketball court.
It was a one point game in the first half with each team trading leads. Saltillo hit the hoop with top scorers Brooke Lane scoring 19, Kimber Thompson sank 13, and Emily White added six. The Lady Lion team outscored their Lady Tiger opponents by eight in the final quarter, securing them the opposite digits on the final scoreboard of 43-34.
“We will play the winner of Slocum and Karnack either Friday or Saturday,” said Saltillo Lady Lions head basketball coach Garry Davison.
A possible future opponent Elkhart Slocum is ranked No. 20 in state polls with a season record of 26-8, 8-4 district. Karnack was not ranked in the top 20.

"I thought we played alot better last night than we did against Tenaha. We only had 15 turnovers last night and we did a much better job on the boards we gave them only nine second shot opportunities," added Saltillo coach Davison.
