COMMERCE — The Hopkins County Angels All-Stars won twice Tuesday in games which were delayed earlier in the week by wet weather and conditions.

Hopkins County won 11-2 over Bullard in the completion of a game postponed by rain. The squad then edged by Bonham, 3-1 in the Texas Dixie State Championships currently underway in Commerce.
The undefeated Hopkins County team plays Commerce Pineland today at 6 p.m. They will play a second game at 8 p.m. against a foe to be determined. The state championship will be decided tonight or tomorrow, depending on outcome of games.
Hopkins County coach Chris Voorheese reported that in the win over Bullard, Katelyn Rusheon got the win. The only two runs she allowed came early in the game. Journi Hohenberger pitched a scoreless inning. Key hits came from Jazmin Tapley, Maggi Huie and Hohenberger.
Makayla Buchanan was the winning pitcher against Bonham. Parris Pickett added a key hit and defensive play. Also making good defensive plays were Hohenberger, Rusheon and Mariam Tran.
