When Sulphur Springs and Whitehouse take the diamond tonight it will be a case of two teams with a lot in common.
While both sets of Wildcats won tough bi-district playoff series, they have more in common than their mascots.

Sulphur Springs has been depending on steady pitching, defense and timely hitting. They score just enough to win as evidenced by the two one-run wins over Wylie East. The squad has turned around their season after starting 0-4. They won their last four games in a row, 20 of the last 26. with a tie.
Whitehouse is scoring an average of 7.7 runs a game, while allowing an average of 3.7 a tilt. They have not tasted defeat since falling 3-2 on April 19 at Corsicana in a spirited district game.
Sulphur Springs is hitting .305 as a team scoring 5.9 runs a game. The squad hit .400 against Wylie East in the bi-district playoffs.
