Wildcats, Raiders in playoffs tonight

    The matchup between Sulphur Springs (18-9-1) and Wylie East (21-3-1) will begin today after the first game, set for Thursday, was postponed.
    Cold weather, rain and strong winds were predicted for the first game.
    The Wildcats put the time to good use Thursday, working on  catching windblown fly balls and other aspects of the game.
    Jordan Jackson will be the probable starting pitcher today.
    “I like the fact that we have a possibility of two games on our campus,” said Jerrod Hammack, Wildcats head baseball coach. “We have been very successful at home this year.”
    The Wildcats are 8-0 at Eagle Stadium. Opponents have been outscored 56-19 when Sulphur Springs is the home team.

Bi-district playoff series

Game 1 - today, 7:30 p.m.
at Wylie East

Game 2- noon, Eagle Stadium, Sulphur Springs

Game 3 - same location,
following conclusion of
second game (if needed)
